Download every image in a PDF as a ZIP
Saving pictures one by one is fine for two or three. For a catalogue, a photo book or a long scanned report, it is easier to take everything at once.
Make the ZIP
- Open the PDF in Extract Images.
- Choose Download all. The images are prepared one after another and a counter shows how far it has got; you can stop at any moment with Cancel.
- When it is done, a strip reads something like “ZIP ready · 48 images · 31 MB” and the download starts. If your browser doesn’t start it, use the button in that strip.
The ZIP is made only when you ask for it, on your device. It is named after your PDF, for example catalogue-images.zip, and the files inside are numbered by page and by position on the page, so they sort in reading order.
What goes into the ZIP
- Every image in the grid, each once — an image reused on many pages is not repeated.
- Not the Small assets: tiny, thin or single-color pieces are left out unless you tick Include in Download all.
- Not the images marked Can’t extract or Damaged. If an image fails while the ZIP is being made, it is left out and a message says how many were skipped, so a missing file is never silent.
If the PDF holds only one image, Download all becomes Download and saves that file directly.
On iPhone and iPad
Choose Prepare all (ZIP). When the ZIP is ready, tap Save or share and pick Files, or use Download ZIP and find it in Files › Downloads. Large scanned PDFs can produce a big ZIP that takes a while to prepare on a phone; keep the page open until it finishes.
